Title: "Whose Got The Power"
Date: Sunday, July 8, 2007
It seems like a struggle every morning to find the strength to
get out of bed. Not many of us are always in the best state of mind
when the sun rises. We forget that life is a gift from our Father
God and should be lived in gratitude that it was given. Our Father
has also given us Power to live, but a good portion of that power
we often give to someone or something else. I really appreciated
the sermon this morning.
Pastor B spoke about how most of us find the power of living in
our flesh and/or worldly things from birth. We are conditioned to
always seek the bigger or better tangible things in life. Once we
have achieved those things, we are looking to the next income or
status level, never really finding true happiness in those things
of the world. We find out later on in life that we are powerless
in our flesh.
When in actuality most of us would not even get out of bed if we
depended on our human selves or worldly things to be the motivating
factors. The truth is that we need to find our power for living.
That power is the "HOLY GHOST" that lives inside of you.
God has put the "HOLY GHOST" inside each of us to let
our spiritual selves know that he is always with us even when our
flesh and the world let us down.
Psalm 30 v 8 says "I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the
Lord I made supplication." Luke 10 v 16a says "He that
heareth you heareth me;" God is letting us know that there
is Power in Prayer. If we ask for the strength to have joy, peace,
faith, love, etc. inside, the "HOLY GHOST" will grant
it. If we realize that we have always had the power in us, then
we can always get on with business of living in Our Father's Glory.
Amen
